How to Remove a Photobomber from a Travel Photo
A person walking through a landmark shot can be more distracting than the crowd around them. The goal is not simply to erase a silhouette: it is to rebuild the pavement, scenery, shadows and perspective so the travel photo still feels coherent.
Start with one isolated photobomber
When the person is separated from your subject, brush over their full outline, bag, feet and visible shadow. Leave a small margin around the silhouette. Check the ground plane after processing because paving lines and shadows are common clues that a repair needs another pass.
Handle crowds in sections
For a busy landmark, do not select a huge crowd all at once. Work in groups that share the same background depth, such as a row against a wall or a small area of pavement. This gives the AI a simpler pattern to continue and makes it easier to keep a good intermediate result.
When a person overlaps the subject you keep
This is the difficult case. If the photobomber covers a hand, face or important clothing, the tool must invent missing detail. Try a close selection and inspect carefully, but use another photo from the sequence when accuracy matters more than a clean frame.
Keep the result natural
Review perspective, reflections and shadows at 100% size. If a rebuilt patch looks smooth, repeat with a slightly tighter selection or work across the boundary in a second pass. Small, deliberate edits usually look more convincing than one oversized repair.
